I have to admit that so many things have happened so quickly that I hardly have any time to breathe, not to mention blog. Something happened yesterday, however, which impact me so much that I know I have to mention it no matter what.
It was officially 21 days before my 21st birthday yesterday.
I didn't realise it myself.
BUT MY HOUSEMATES DID!!!!
They came up with this ingenious plan of giving me various challenges every week, leading up to my birthday and then rewarding me after I did it. Now now... It does sound like they are treating me like a circus animal, but it definitely sounds much better when it was written by my dear housemates.
So basically, on Wednesday morning, I woke up amongst the mess in my room to go to the toilet, to the kitchen and wherever, only to find a ransom note and a magical golden envelope delivered by a handsome knight.
The contents are written at the end of the post.
Nothing could possibly describe how I felt when I first knew about it. Having had so much workload and commitments recently, I was just trudging through these few weeks on autopilot mode. Yesterday's surprise brought the bounce back to my steps and the glow back onto my face=D
I actually look forward to doing each challenge, despite the fact that it actually takes up time, which I am severely lacking at the moment. Thanks for putting in so much efforts, Gab, JY, and ZY (in order of dist from my room), despite your busy schedules.
It doesn't matter that it is still (3 weeks-1day) to my birthday.
My housemates already made it special for me.
~The Cheryl Challenge~
The introduction letter:
Chère Cheryl,
It is my misfortune to inform you that it is 21 days to your 21st birthday. As a fun-loving, spritely girl we know you want it to be a memorable experience and we intend to help you make this possible. Don’t worry, we are your friends (or are we?).
We have collaborated with many of your friends to arrange an exotic fun-filled programme for the days leading up to that unfortunate date. Every week, you shall receive a set of orders to carry out within the week. For your efforts, we will reward you duly. After all, all work and no play makes Cheryl gay. (YUCK!) Don’t fail your friends.
Please find attached the list of challenges that we do strongly suggest you endeavour to complete. Good luck. We are watching.
Grosses bises
Us.
